Confirming Tomorrow's Repeat Grooming Visits the Day Before

The best mobile grooming days are the ones that were settled the afternoon before. The groomer wakes up to a day in order, the customers already got their reminders, and nobody is texting the office at 7am asking where to go first. In PetGroomBossPro that comes from a short routine: confirming tomorrow on Pending Jobs.

Why the Day Before

The screen itself is described in Pending Jobs: Where Repeat Grooming Visits Wait Until the Office Confirms Them. Its day tabs put tomorrow first for a reason: the day before is the sweet spot for scheduling.

A week out, you do not yet know who will be sick or which client will travel. The morning of, it is too late to tell customers about a change and too late for the groomer to plan. The afternoon before, you know almost everything, and there is still time to fix what needs fixing.

Step 1: Open Tomorrow

Open Pending Jobs and click tomorrow's tab. You will see a map and list of every planned repeat visit for tomorrow, each with its planned time and van, plus any new requests you have already put on that day.

Take a quick look at the map first. It shows at a glance whether each van's day makes sense geographically, and whether there is an obvious gap where a new request could fit.

Step 2: Handle the Exceptions

Before confirming, deal with anything that is not going to happen as planned. Common ones:

Two-way texting from the office makes this easier. If you are not sure whether a client is still on, send a text and keep going with the rest of the day while you wait for the reply.

Step 3: Confirm the Repeat Visits

Now confirm. One click keeps each visit's planned day, time and van and moves it to the Scheduled list. For most repeat clients this is the whole job, because nothing has changed since their series was booked.

This is the part of the routine that saves the most time. You are not rebuilding the day from scratch or retyping times; you are agreeing with a plan that was already made, and spending your attention only on what changed.

Step 4: Slot in New Requests

Next, check the No Day tab. New requests from the online booking page, the website form, the customer app and phone calls wait there without a day. Look at where each one is on the map, find a van that is already nearby tomorrow, and give it a time that fits between the repeat visits.

New customers often come with a preferred day and time of day from the booking page, which makes this quicker. And a new customer who books a one-time groom is a good candidate for a repeat slot after the visit; more on that in Turning One-Time Grooming Customers Into Repeat Grooming Clients.

Step 5: Check the Route and Send It

With the day confirmed, go to the Scheduled list and filter by van. Use auto-route, Closest First or Furthest First from the shop, or set the order by hand around your set times. Print route sheets if someone in the van wants paper.

From there the software takes over. Customers get the night-before reminder if they chose it. In the morning each groomer logs in and sees the day in order with set times, pets, cut notes and van notes on every card.

Who Does It on Days Off

The routine only works if it happens every working day, including the day before a Monday. Decide who confirms when the usual person is out, and give them an office login with the right role. Because the work is mostly one click on repeat visits, a stand-in can handle it without knowing every client by heart.

A Ten-Minute Habit

For a small operation with a good book of repeat clients, this routine is usually short: look, fix the exceptions, confirm, slot the new ones, route. Do it at the same time every day and it becomes as automatic as stocking the van. To see where confirming fits with the rest of the repeat tools, return to the recurring grooming software page.
